We really enjoy making wedding designs (it really does show in the work when you enjoy doing something!) and we can make anything that can be thought of- and anything that might not have!. Weddings are so personal to each and every bride- we can truthfully say we've never made the same wedding bouquet twice!
Trailing bouquets, handtied bouquets, fairy wands, pomanders, wire constucted bags, baskets, hair flowers, buttonholes, corsarges, cake flowers, pedestal arrangements, thank you bouquets, table centres, pew ends, helium balloon decoration and fresh petal confetti- everything needed for the special day- we can do!.
We have co-ordinated many weddings which had a theme for the whole occasion, obviously the most popular is a beach theme (being based in a seaside town!) using seashells, rope, frothy foliages and wild looking flowers. Other popular themes have been country garden where we've used a selection of fragrant herbs and large headed scented roses with a few sprigs of lavender for colour. We've arranged flowers for a wedding in an old barn using dasies and buttercups for a rustic, country look and designed a modern, crisp bouquet of bright lime green orchids and pure white scented lilies with shoots of varigated grasses for an oriental style wedding in a minimalistic venue. Really though, most weddings just work with a colour scheme they like such as the bridesmaids dresses and we choose the flowers to compliment that and the brides style and taste in flowers... contemporary? classic? designer? rustic? natural? pretty?!
Penllyn is a very popular area for brides who travel from away to get married here, we have lots of experience in helping brides who might only be able to get to Pwllheli once or twice before they get married- its easy to keep in touch with emails, phone calls and letters. Once we have decided on the style a bride wants and the colours shes using- we can come up with a range of ideas for the whole day.
Generally, brides book their dates with us 6 months to 2 years in advance, we tend to take no more then one or possibly two weddings (if its a few hours apart) a day to ensure our full attention is given to each so the sooner the date is booked, the better. We have lots and lots of catalouges here for a bride to look though for ideas and an initial pre-booked consulation of around 30-45 mins is required to begin the flower planning. (We say pre-booked consultation because a wedding is so special and important it requires our undivided attention- serving customers and answering the phone in between talking to a bride is unprofessional!)
